This is a collaboration we were not expecting.
Snoop Dogg has partnered with pioneering serial entrepreneur and internet marketing expert and personality, GaryVee for a new song called ‘Please Take A Step Back’. The track is supposed to serve as a musical inspiration for Gary and VeeFriends’ upcoming NFT collection with Snoop Dogg, as well as the theme for Gary’s popular YouTube vlog series.
Additionally, according to the press release, “the song will welcome participants to the 2nd annual VeeCon conference, which boasts a program consisting of discussions with iconic and emerging leaders across business and popular culture and performances from superstar artists, to be held May 18-20 in Indianapolis.” An animated music video for the song is set to be released on May 9.
“As a fan, Snoop has been a part of my life for 30 years. I could not communicate to you what 18-year-old Gary is feeling right now,” says GaryVee. “The idea of taking a step back has been something that’s been woven through my content for 15 years. Every time I say ‘patience’ in my content, that’s saying take a step back. Every time I’m saying ‘be empathetic and care about the other person’, every time I’m saying ‘be self aware, know yourself.’ What I’m really saying to people is take a step back, take a breath, take a beat, and figure out who the f*ck you are.”
Last month, Snoop Dogg and gamma. announced a long-term licensing agreement for exclusive rights to market and distribute the Death Row Records catalog.
