Childish Gambino, the genre defying artist who has been releasing back to back in an effective rollout for his upcoming album, Bando Stone & The New World, has just released the full tracklist and list of features for the project.
The album comes out July 19, and will feature artists like Khruangbin, Amaarae, Jorja Smith, Yeat, Legend and more! Check out the track names and features below.
While the tracklist does not feature the much anticipated Ye collaboration, fans speculate that it may very well be an uncredited feature on the album still. Another fan started a hopeful movement in the comments of Gambino’s main account (representing Donald Glover), echoing the sentiment of many when expressing the need for a Frank Ocean feature on the album as well. Whether any of these will pan out or not, of course, is a question best answered only by time — so stay tuned for July 19th!
The album will be the last album from Childish Gambino, as Donald Glover plans to retire this particular persona. While Bando Stone marks a bittersweet end to the goofiness and experimental bravado of Gambino’s musical quirks, it has also left us excited in anticipation of what is to come. Will there be a new Donald Glover persona? How would the music be different? Just how much of an unconventional route will Glover take this time?
The Childish Gambino era is really coming to an end.
In an interview with The New York Times, 40-year-old Glover seems at peace with his decision to retire the Gambino character. “I just felt like I didn’t need to build in this way anymore,” he explains.

These are all questions that will, again, be answered only in due time. For now, let us wait for the album, and the movie it soundtracks. It really would be cool to see Gambino in yet another acting stint, and this time in against the curious backdrop of a dystopian, futuristic world!
