Over the weekend, JAY-Z had a rare performance in Paris where he did a show at the Basquiat x Warhol exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. Now, as part of the same campaign, there’s another cool surprise for fans.
Hov has officially released what is essentially a remix of his classic song ‘Empire State Of Mind’ with Alicia Keys, incidentally his first #1 record. It’s called ‘NEW YORK (CONCEPT DE PARIS)’ and is essentially his ‘Empire State Of Mind’ vocals over a slowed down version of the instrumental for the late great legend Gil Scott-Heron’s ‘NY Is Killing Me’, which some might recognise from Angel Haze’s ‘New York’.
