Jim Jones and Hitmaka have been teasing a new project for a minute. In fact, Jones admitted that he had over 10 projects that he was working on simultaneously with his joint effort with Hitmaka among them. The Dipset rapper’s been on an incredible run over the past few years, from projects like El Capo and Wasted Talent to his 2022 mixtape, We Set The Trends with DJ Drama. Most recently, he came through with his latest Christmas album, Jim Jones Presents: 12 Days Of Christmas. However, it appears that he’s gearing up to make a bigger splash this year.
This week, Jim Jones and Hitmaka confirmed that their joint project, Back In My Prime was set to drop. Of course, the title is a play on the infamous situation surrounding an alleged altercation at Prime 112 in Miami. Though they initially revealed the project to be titled Prime 112, Jim Jones said that wasn’t the case. However, they began unveiling the project last year with the release of “Gunshot” ft. BEAM.
Jim Jones & Hitmaka – Seen The Money
Jim Jones and Hitmaka are officially in that zone ahead of their forthcoming project, Back In My Prime. With the project slated to drop later this spring, they unloaded the latest single off of the project, “Seen The Money.” It seems that Hitmaka is truly tapping into Jones’ taste in music through samples. While “Gunshot” sampled KRS-One, “Seen The Money” finds the Dipset rapper laying down bars over a sample of Alicia Keys’s “You Don’t Know My Name.”
Jones continues to shine his lyrical abilities while providing flashes of his luxurious lifestyle. He further emphasizes this with the official music video that showcases the rapper with wads of cash and yachty-cruising with an abundance of bottles on deck. Check the single out below and sound off with your thoughts on Jones and Hitmaka’s new single.
Quotable Lyrics
We jumping out of Ferraris and private jets without a suitcase,
‘Cause we shop when we land, we got no top on the Lamb,
Hood n***a, all white Airs with no socks in the sand
I used to play with the keys, but the locks didn’t jam
