Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Joyner Lucas released his new single “Blackout” featuring Future that will appear on his upcoming new album, Not Now, I’m Busy.

With “Blackout,” Joyner delivers fiery lyrics and showcases his rapid flow in the boisterous track. On the song, he raps about his billionaire ambitions and leveling up to enjoy a lavish lifestyle. As the beat switches up, Future adds his own flair to the record, as he boasts about his toxicity.

“Blackout” comes after Joyner delivered his thought-provoking track “Devil’s Work Part 2,” where he raps about changing the course of time and stopping Will Smith from slapping Chris Rock, preventing Kobe Bryant from taking a helicopter in January 2020, eradicating the vape cartridges from Brittney Griner’s bag before her trip to Russia.

Both “Blackout” and “Devil’s Work Part 2” illustrates the New England’s versatility and his unique ability to shine on both trap and conscious songs – a dynamic combination that will be evident on his second studio album, Not Now, I’m Busy.

It will mark Joyner’s first album in three years and the album debuted in the Top-10 of the Billboard 200, earned RIAA gold certification, sparked a much-needed conversation about mental health and established a new template for success that independent artists could follow.

The Boston native is gearing up for a massive year as he announced his acting debut alongside superstar actor, Mark Wahlberg. Joyner was personally cast by Wahlberg for the role in his new movie, which is scheduled to be released in 2023-2024. The duo’s friendship stems from when Wahlberg made a cameo in Joyner’s “Zim Zimma” music video that he released in May 2021.
