Kanye West Steps Out in Jason Mask at Vultures Listening Event in Chicago
On Thursday (Feb. 8), just two days after teasing the event on social media, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign hosted an album release party and listening event for Vultures Volume 1 at the United Center in Chicago. As the two previewed their debut album as a duo in front of a crowd of thousands in Ye’s home city, the Chi-Town rapper-producer stepped out for the event wearing an all-black attire and a Jason mask.
In the video/photo/social media post below, Kanye and Ty were seen on stage vibing out as their joint Vultures album soundtracked the stadium.

Kanye West Brings Out North West and YG to Perform
Ye brought out his daughter North West, introducing her as “Ms. Westie” to the roaring crowd. North strutted out and rapped along to her song “Talking/Once Again,” which had just dropped on streaming earlier on Thursday (Feb. 8). YG then stepped out a few moments later to perform the song “Do It,” which appears on the album.
Kanye West’s Rants and Controversies at Previous Vultures Listening Events in Miami and Las Vegas
The news coming out of Thursday’s event in Chicago follows two other equally lively and headline-snatching Vultures listening sessions.
Back when Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign were set to deliver their album on Dec. 15, Ye sparked controversy earlier that week during a Vultures rave in Miami. While performing the album’s title track “Vultures” with Ty, Lil Durk and Bump J, Kanye donned a black Ku Kux Klan-inspired hood, much to the dismay of many.
A few days later, on Dec. 15, another Vultures listening event was held in a warehouse in the Las Vegas desert but was reportedly shut down by police. When the party relocated to a hotel suite, Ye hit up Instagram Live with a heated rant that found him going off on the likes of Drake, Jay-Z and Adidas. Kanye rounded out the scathing rant by calling out the “Jewish n***as” who would potentially say he was having a mental “episode” and saying he would like to “slap the s**t” out of businessman Mike Rubin.
Vultures Volume 1 is set to drop on Friday (Feb. 9) and will be followed by the next two offerings in the Vultures series on March 8 and April 5. Check out Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign TKTK at the Vultures listening event in Chicago in the video/photos below.
