There has been a lot of speculation about the second edition of the Rick Ross Car Show. Things started positively, with Ross flexing the prize for the show winners. Later, the diamond-encrusted key would also be joined by some $300k chains. However, the excitement was somewhat overshadowed by a little of beef and a side of legal drama.
First, Ross’ neighbors attempted to get the car show blocked. Residents of Fayetteville, Georgia argued that the second running of the show would negatively impact their lives. That led to Ross’ permit being denied. However, Ross vowed that the show would go on. In the middle of all this, Ross started beefing with DJ Envy, who was throwing a rival car show around the same time as Ross. However, eventually, Ross was granted permission to hold his show and June 3 marked the big day.
Tens Of Thousands Attend Rick Ross Car Show
The first major sight of the event was Rick Ross wandering around with a pair of lace purple panties on his head. But then came the concert series, which boasted an absolutely stacked roster. Lil Wayne had already been announced earlier in the year but fans were overjoyed to get sets from Meek Mill and Gucci Mane on the main stage as well. DJ Akademiks estimated that there were 30,000 people in attendance.
Elsewhere, Ross was seen linking up with Tyler, The Creator on the showgrounds. Furthermore, local law enforcement has praised Ross for how smoothly the event went. “He hired a really good team that put together a lot of good work for us,” Fayette County Sherrif Barry Babb said. “We’ve been able to work with multiple agencies, really the only thing with some minor inconveniences with traffic.” Additionally, only three medical incidents were reported, with all three being attributed to the weather. Temperatures hit 88 degrees in Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon. However, the positive endorsement of local authorities should make the process for next year’s event smooth sailing.
