ScHoolboy Q Implies Drake May Have Influenced His Toronto Show Cancellation or Was it Bad Weather?

It seems like someone has a lot of sway over the concert scene in Toronto or maybe it’s just a coincidence. Let’s get to it … So, ScHoolboy Q’s Toronto stop for The Blue Lips Tour was just canceled, like shut down and Q thinks maybe Drake might have pulled a lever in the why behind it.

What’s crazy is the abrupt cancellation was not taken lightly. The Thursday (July 18) show was meant to jumpstart Q’s tour.

Schoolboy expressed his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), posting:

“THey just cancelled my sHow in TORONTO,” followed by a laughing emoji. He added, “CANADIAN POLICE DONT WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING.”

Fans being fans in the era of the chat began to speculate that Drake, might be using his influence or power to block any TDE-affiliated artists from performing and in an essence getting money in his city … known as the 6.

Ge this, ScHoolboy Q went on to comment:

”TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby smH partynextdoor just Had a sHow @ tHe palladium. If we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it.. now wHen sumbody get Hurt don’t cry…”

Hmm, interesting. Now just recently Rick Ross was kind of attacked in Vancouver after playing “Not Like Us” at one of his shows. Let’s stop right there. Who told Ross that was a good idea? Vancouver isn’t Toronto, but Drake is beloved by and large in the entire country of Canada.

Q went not to just stop beating around the bush:

“Actually I get it,” he wrote. “Nvm tHis sH*t [lowkey] hilarious *laughing emoji*… Iono wHy dot put me in tHat f**king video.” He was referring to the “Not Like Us” video, released earlier this month, which featured a cameo by ScHoolboy Q among other Los Angeles artists. A ha, there you have it, maybe.

To play devils advocate, Toronto had been hit by severe storms that week, causing flooding and power outages, particularly in Drake’s neighborhood. In a response from the twitterverse, one user quote-tweeted Q, writing, “Crashing out like this not knowing there was a flood is hilarious lol.”

DJ Akademiks also responded to the tweet, writing, “Sending Prayers for Peace and healing. Battle was good. Time to move on.”

Yes it is. So let’s all move the heck on. Period.
