Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s Divorce is Complete


The end of of Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s marriage is official. The former couple have finalized their divorce after filing last year. 

Ajudge in Georgia’s Fulton County Court has ruled that Taylor will receive four marital properties valued at approximately $10 million. She will also keep her vehicles, jewelry, and retain ownership of her companies “Taylormade” and “The Aunties.” The details were released, according to documents obtained by The Jasmine Brand.

Shumpert, a former NBA champion and reality star, has been ordered to make a “one-time seven-figure payment” to Taylor. He will retain his Miami condo and residences in South Georgia and Decatur. Additionally, Shumpert must pay Taylor $8,000 per month in child support and cover private school fees for their two daughters. He will also keep his share of investments in their business ventures, though specific details about these investments were not disclosed.

ICYMI, news of the couple’s divorce surfaced in September 2023, after Taylor confirmed their separation. However, legal documents revealed that the divorce was actually filed in January of that year, with Taylor accusing Shumpert of “extreme emotional and mental abuse.” She claimed that her rising stardom angered Shumpert, leading her to “intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage.” Taylor also stated she turned down various acting roles and other opportunities because Shumpert “did not want her to work,” yet he complained when she stopped working after giving birth.

Two months after the divorce news broke, Shumpert issued a statement through his attorney expressing hope that the parties and their counsel could “work toward a fair resolution, keeping the best interests of the children of paramount concern.”

Taylor and Shumpert married in 2016, a year after the birth of their eldest daughter, Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert. They welcomed their second daughter, Rue Rose Shumpert, in 2020.
