Houston artist Yung Pooda is starting off the week on a high note with his latest song, “Already Know” featuring Angelica Villa and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, breaking the Top 30 of the urban and rhythmic radio airplay and is currently trending in the Top 25 in both formats. The track was released via It’s a 10 Records.
For the track, Yung Pooda puts his own spin on the original song “You Already Know” by Bad Boy Records’ R&B group 112. The video for the song, directed by Starr Mazzi, currently sits at over 8 million views on YouTube and has over 2 million streams on Spotify. Recently, the song was also featured on Ebro’s Discovered on Apple Music.
This major break-through moment is just a taste of what’s to come from Yung Pooda in 2023. As “Already Know” climbs up the radio charts, Yung Pooda gears up for the release of his upcoming debut project Vivid Pictures that will feature production from beatsmiths Cool & Dre.
Prior to the release of Pooda’s latest track, the Houston native has been receiving co-signs from industry heavyweights such as Fat Joe who was also featured on Pooda’s other recently release track, “Did It Again”.
Yung Pooda started to garner attention after touring with the infamous Boosie BadAzz in 2019. Shortly after, Pooda made his way on hip-hop’s radar in 2020 with his single “Chicken N Grits” featuring DreamDoll and later released the remix to the song with Trey Songz. Pooda then homage to his hometown of Houston with his rendition of Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin” with his version “Forever Tippin” featuring DJ Chose and Dre.
Pooda’s tenacious nature has helped him gain major momentum with his music and he shows no sign of slowing down. In addition to his visuals receiving millions of views on YouTube, Pooda’s worked with some of the most notable names in hip-hop such as Fat Joe, Boosie BadAzz, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, DreamDoll, Trey Songz, Calboy, Jucee Froot, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Rich The Kid and more. Over the last three years, Yung Pooda has been consistent with the release of new music as he prepares to unleash his debut project Vivid Pictures this summer.
